O. P. Srivastava (OP) is a career banker, having spent 35 years in public and private sector banks in India. He is known for his pioneering contribution to introducing technology to banking in India and for setting up one of the fastest and largest retail networks for one of India’s leading private sector banks. Besides serving on various committees set up by the IBA, RBI and IDRBT, OP has been a visiting faculty at IDRBT, BTC (RBI) and various management institutes in India. Since his retirement, apart from consulting and writing, he makes documentary films. His first feature documentary, Life in Metaphors: A Portrait of Girish Kasaravalli won the National Award for Best Biopic for 2015. Since then, he has made films on brain cancer, Alzheimer’s and Yakshagana under the banner of his production house, Reelismfilms. In 2019, his first book, Life in Metaphors: Portraits of Girish Kasaravalli, was released. He also runs a not-for-profit initiative, ‘Oorjaa’, to make and propagate ‘Cinema for a Cause’.
